Śaṅkarācārya's commentary

Egotism: identifying the Self with the body. Strength: that strength which is combined with passion and desire, but not the physical or any other strength. Arrogance: which follows the state of exultation and leads to the transgression of dharma. Property: even what is necessary for bodily sustenance the aspirant abandons; i.e., he becomes a Paramahaṃsa-Parivrājaka, a saṃnyāsin of the fourth or highest order. He does not regard even the bodily life as his. Peaceful: free from exultation and care.
