Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 18, Verse 68

य इदं परमं गुह्यं मद्भक्तेष्वभिधास्यति । भक्तिं मयि परां कृत्वा मामेवैष्यत्यसंशयः

ya idaṃ paramaṃ guhyaṃ madbhakteṣvabhidhāsyati | bhaktiṃ mayi parāṃ kṛtvā māmevaiṣyatyasaṃśayaḥ

Translation

He who with supreme devotion to Me will teach this Supreme Secret to My devotees, shall doubtless come to Me.

Śaṅkarācārya's commentary

This Supreme Secret: the Secret Doctrine taught above in the form of a dialogue between Keśava and Arjuna. It is Supreme because it conduces to the Highest Bliss. By repetition of 'devotion' here, it is meant that by devotion alone one becomes worthy of being taught the śāstra. In the faith that he is doing service to the Eternal Lord, the Parama-Guru, the Supreme Teacher. As the fruit of this act, such a teacher will go to the Lord, he will be liberated.
