त्रिभिर्गुणमयैर्भावैरेभिः सर्वमिदं जगत् । मोहितं नाभिजानाति मामेभ्यः परमव्ययम्
tribhirguṇamayairbhāvairebhiḥ sarvamidaṃ jagat | mohitaṃ nābhijānāti māmebhyaḥ paramavyayam
Translation
Deluded by these three (sorts of) things composed of guṇas, all this world knows not Me as distinct from them and immutable.

Śaṅkarācārya's commentary
All living beings are deluded by such things as love, hatred and attachment, which are all modifications of guṇas. Immutable: devoid of such changes as birth and the like, which pertain to all things in the world.
