Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 8, Verse 12

सर्वद्वाराणि संयम्य मनो हृदि निरुध्य च । मूर्ध्न्याधायात्मनः प्राणमास्थितो योगधारणाम्

sarvadvārāṇi saṃyamya mano hṛdi nirudhya ca | mūrdhnyādhāyātmanaḥ prāṇamāsthito yogadhāraṇām

Translation

Having closed all the gates, having confined mind in the heart, having fixed his life-breath in the head, engaged in firm Yoga,

Śaṅkarācārya's commentary

Having closed all the avenues of knowledge and having concentrated thought in the lotus of the heart, and with thought thus controlled, he ascends by the nāḍī which passes upwards from the heart, and then fixes the life-breath in the head.
