Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 10, Verse 22

वेदानां सामवेदोऽस्मि देवानामस्मि वासवः । इन्द्रियाणां मनश्चास्मि भूतानामस्मि चेतना

vedānāṃ sāmavedo'smi devānāmasmi vāsavaḥ | indriyāṇāṃ manaścāsmi bhūtānāmasmi cetanā

Translation

Of the Vedas I am the Sāma-Veda, I am Vāsava of the Gods, and of the senses I am the mind, I am the intelligence in living beings.

Śaṅkarācārya's commentary

Gods: such as the Rudras and the Ādityas. Vāsava: i.e., Indra. Of the eleven senses I am the mind. Chetana, sentiency or intelligence, is that state of the intellect (buddhi) which manifests itself in the aggregate of the body and the senses.
