Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 3, Verse 16

एवं प्रवर्तितं चक्रं नानुवर्तयतीह यः । अघायुरिन्द्रियारामो मोघं पार्थ स जीवति

evaṃ pravartitaṃ cakraṃ nānuvartayatīha yaḥ | aghāyurindriyārāmo moghaṃ pārtha sa jīvati

Translation

He who follows not here the wheel thus set in motion, who is of sinful life, indulging in senses, he lives in vain, O son of Pṛthā.

Śaṅkarācārya's commentary

He who ought to perform action, but who, indulging in sensual pleasures, does not follow the wheel of the world thus set revolving by Īśvara on the basis of the Veda and sacrifices — he lives in vain.
