यो न हृष्यति न द्वेष्टि न शोचति न काङ्क्षति । शुभाशुभपरित्यागी भक्तिमान्यः स मे प्रियः
yo na hṛṣyati na dveṣṭi na śocati na kāṅkṣati | śubhāśubhaparityāgī bhaktimānyaḥ sa me priyaḥ
Translation
He who neither rejoices, nor hates, nor grieves, nor desires, renouncing good and evil, he who is full of devotion is dear to Me.

Śaṅkarācārya's commentary
He does not rejoice on attaining what is desirable. He does not fret upon attaining what is undesirable. He does not grieve upon having to part with a beloved object. He does not desire the unattained.
